An Alumnus of FUTMinna, Ambassador Nmar Ahmed donated the sum of 500 thousand naira to the Department of Entrepreneurship and Business Studies (EBS).
He made the donation on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 during the lecture series, which was part of activities marking the 2017 EBS Week, where he spoke on the topic: "Benefits of Being an Entrepreneur: My Success Story."
Amb. Ahmed who is Nigeria's Goodwill Ambassador to the United Nations is also the CEO of One Links Consult Ltd, Abuja and founder, Igreen Africa, graduated from the Department of Estate Management 12 years ago.
According to Amb. Ahmed, the donation is meant to support the department in its bid to establish an incubation laboratory that would house different equipment to train EBS students on skill acquisition.
The Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. Musbau Adewumi Akanji FAS, FNSBMB, said the benevolence would serve as motivation to students.
He expressed delight that his determination to ensure deeper involvement of alumni in the University's activities is materialising.
Prof Akanji thanked Amb. Ahmed for the visit and donation.
He also disclosed that by September this year, FUT, Minna alumni from all over Nigeria and beyond, will converge for a first-of-its-kind meeting in the institution.
