Campus
Business
In
a world of high unemployment with an economy that needs new and better jobs to
recover, people are hungry for solutions, something that will bring about fast
recovery. Many look to government, but it's becoming obvious that government
can't create real jobs, only entrepreneurs can! Only entrepreneurs can bring
our world back to prosperity.

is the way out especially in Africa".... Sam Adeyemi
Campus
Business is a section of Bros Deiv Blog where we will be looking at business
ideas that one can leverage on while on campus and as a graduate, how to start
and run a business successfully, how to raise capital for your business and lot
more. It is called campus business because it entails businesses that you can start on
campus and its environs.
This
section of this blog will educate readers on business generally and provide
them materials with which they can use to run and start a business, either as a
student that is still in school or as a graduate.
Campus
Business will provide some of the best ideas in business which ranged from
simple to detailed and brilliant intellect. These business ideas have proven
power and potency. They are not only insightful and useful, they have worked
often in a brilliant way despite challenges.
As
you lay hold of these business ideas, you must be willing to experiment and
take the risk, have restless desire to do well and stay ahead of your
competitors. The ability to understand the root cause of an issue, opportunity
or challenge and to do something distinctive rather than merely tinkering with
the status quo put you ahead of your competitors in business.
What
is Campus Business?
Campus
business can be described as the selling of a product or rendering of services
in school campus and its environs. It entails businesses by students,
graduates, and others on a school campus and its environs.
In
every community where there are university or college students, there are
business opportunities. Many people whether student, graduate or not, benefit
financially from the huge student population by starting a business that caters
to students and the people in the community.
Through
Campus business, you can make your own contribution to the society via your
products and services while still in school or as a graduate.
For
over a decade, campus business has really grown to become real time big
business that employs a large number of people including graduates, solving
unemployment problems and making a significant contribution to the development
of the nation.
Things
to know before starting a small business
First
of all, you must decide the business you really want to do. This must be in
line with what you have a passion for, and you are ready to spend your time
developing.
You
have to be passionate about your business or you are never going to be
successful no matter what you do to it. If you are passionate about your
business, you are going to work harder, you are going to try harder, you are
going to be better at it and definitely, you will enjoy more profit and find
fulfillment.
The
most important things here is knowing your business and loving what you do,
both of which solve a lot of problems.
Others
things you need to know includes;
- Know the product or service being offered
- Have a clear understanding of the market
information of the product or service.
- Know the competitor and challenges of the
business.
- The rules of the business
- How much capital required to take off and
run the business until the business can generate income.
- How to raise capital for the business
- Basic personnel or human resource needed to
run the business
- Closeness of location to raw
materials/market source
Know
the product or service being offered
To
become successful at your business, you must have a working knowledge of the
business you plan to start before you start.
Common sense combined with appropriate experience is the necessary brain power.
You
will, however, need to identify skills that you need to acquire in order to
have a successful business and achieve your dreams. You can always learn any
skill you consider important to your business and take the time to develop
yourself.
Get
necessary materials and read about the business before you start. Consult
people that are successful in doing the same business as yours.... To be
