The Federal Bureau of Investigation commonly known as the FBI is an intelligence-driven and threat-focused national security organization with both intelligence and law enforcement responsibilities.
They work passionately to protect the U.S. from terrorism, espionage, cyber attacks, and major criminal threats.
They are known coast to coast for their ten (10) most wanted lists. Each week, they review and update the list, removing those people who have been captured or adding people who warrant it.
This same method can be applied in business, where one focuses his time, energy and resources on best prospects by having top ten (10) most wanted list each week or month.
To do this, you must learn to be focused, which is the only way to actualize this method of getting difficult customers.
‘A man who chases two rabbits catches none’
Be focused and know exactly what you are trying to catch and achieve.
As defined by Richard Kiyosaki and Donald Trump in their book; Midas Touch, FOCUS is Following One Course Until Successful.
It is working diligently on a particular goal until successful, and much more, staying successful beyond the goal.
For example;
At the beginning of each week, you can write out a new top ten list for action for the week. In addition to this, you write alongside each of those ten the action or activities you are going to take that week to turn those prospects into customers.
By being Focused on this, and having your top ten action plan written down, it will keep you on target to go after your best prospects.
After this has been done, you work diligently all through the week and beyond on your action plan to convert these prospects to customers. At this time, you don’t give up until you achieve your goal.
If you try once, you should try again, keep your focus exactly where it should be, which is on winning – turning your prospects into customers.
And after your goals have been achieved, that is turning your prospects into customers, you continue to work diligently to keep them.
‘Concentrate all your thoughts upon the work at hand. The sun’s rays do not burn until brought to a focus’.... Alexander Graham Bell
Be creative and do things differently
You have to do something different, bold and creative to show your customers that they are valued and accepted. Find something unique, fun and mysterious to convince your prospects to become your customers.
Nobody notices something normal, so sometimes you need to break the rules to get through your prospects, build a relationship and convince them to become your customers.
Most people are looking for something different. They don’t know what they want, but they will know it when they see it, therefore offer them something different, unique and creative.
Final thought
Staying focused on a particular thing can be a very powerful force for accomplishment. Seeing yourself as victorious is a big first step and should stay with you every step of the way.
Those who persevere and those who take risks have a real chance of acquiring great success.
Most importantly, never give up and don’t forget the learning curve, learn something new every day.
Keep your focus no matter what is thrown at you.
PS
Courage is the ability to act effectively in spite of fear. It is a spiritual power we all possess. It is the power over the fears that limit our lives.
Focus combine with courage gives us the power to go beyond who we are, achieve what we say we will achieve and in the process become the person we want to become.
