TESTIMONY
My name is Popoola Nissi Toluwashe CEO PISHON CAKES Abuja. I graduated from FUT Minna Department of Food Science in 2010.
I started baking from my college days but professionally my first year in the university. I have always loved events especially when cakes, pastries, decoration, make up etc are involved. Sometime in year one I was really broke and an idea struck my mind.
I thought of supplying the school shop snacks so I immediately approached the sales person and it was a deal. From there people got to know what I do and patronized. The challenges I had starting up was getting customers to trust my ability to deliver. but then within a short time
I was able to overcome that. Reason is once you do a job well recommendation is certain. In addition, I was more focused on building my brand than making huge profit when I started.
I often say that the first capital required in this line of business is passion. So my advice to young entrepreneurs like me is be passionate, get trained, keep learning, get update from time to time and don't give up on your dreams.
Thank you
